I am an amateur radio operator dedicated to public service and emergency communications. I am also a printer by trade, and enjoy talking on the radio, volunteering, geocaching and offroading.

APRS (Automatic Position Reporting System) is a system using an amateur radio connected to a GPS to transmit a position packet to local digipeater which will then (in most cases) retransmit the position to the internet and other nearby stations.
